The view out to my left as we walked the aquaduct all of the trees you can see just in front and on the opposite mountain side are burnt dead and white.
this is part of the aquaduct walk along the summit at falls creek over the 2011-2012 new years period.
The trees lining it are the burnt out husks of gum trees that were burnt during the 2004 fires . It is now 8 years later the underbrush has come threw beutifully but this scar on the land extends for miles around. It is a beutifully and sad site that i have come to love.
