Wallace hut is one of the oldest huts at Falls Creek Victoria, and quite beutiful, at 12 km from falls creek village, at altitude and mostly up hills to get to it on my bike i was stuffed, the22km round trip from our lodgings on the aqueduct route though was well worth it, and i rode it twice in my 5 day holiday in the cool alpine climate, I was impressed with myself, even though i was passed several times by very fit people up there for alitude training XD

The hut is o,7km from the road on a dirt road, and is situated in a beutiful area.

This is a hdr i made up when we drove to the hut and i could carry my tripod, it is made up of 11 stills.
I've never tried HDR before so tell me what you think ^^

I love places like this. They just fascinate me. I always wonder about their history and who lived there back in the day. Is the hut used for anything now?

I'm not actually familiar with HDR photos at all. I looked it up on wikipedia. Seems like an interesting use of technology. This image kind of looks like more of a drawing than a photo in some ways. The background especially. Do you happen to still have the regular images for comparison? I'd be really interested in comparing and contrasting the differences between the two styles.

It was a cattlemans hut in the early days, now it's a safe house for people caught in blizzards, but theres a camp ground there during summer and a long drop ^^

I'll put togethor a little collage with them and the final image. But you'll have to wait, my holiday graced me with some gawjuss pictures i want to post first ^^
